There are various ways to help and we appreciate every volunteer that graces our Mission. Help with food preparation, cooking and in the dining hall serving food. It is a joyful experience to help serve the homeless. Help with our maintenance area and teach others a skill they could use. Volunteers under 18 are welcome with guardian.
If you are interested in being a volunteer call 239-334-7365. We are flexible with your schedule and your areas of interest.
Healthy Harvest Farms
All ages welcome! Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. On our website there is a tab for volunteer resources where you can download and print the volunteer sign up forms otherwise you can request a copy on your first day.
At healthy harvest we take pride in being the roots of a community garden start up in one of the highest populated food deserts in all of Florida. At our Mirror lakes community garden we provide a vast number of volunteer opportunities from sowing future crops to flipping beds. Our Mirror lakes garden is a market garden design using aspects of organic gardening low till and back to Eden methods. We take pride in providing free hands on education and thousands of pounds of produce donations to local food pantries grown right here at our garden by volunteers just like you!
Feel free to call or text Jorge anytime sun up to sun down to coordinate your visit. 239-478-2694 LETS GROW!
